Unfamiliar Paths in My Hometown
This year my goals include running 372 miles and competing in my first marathon. Sounds easy enough. It would be if I stayed in my hometown until the marathon.
Jackie and I will travel through twelve countries before the marathon in early October. Each stop will involve finding new trails and paths while training.
So I decided to run in unfamiliar places in our hometown to practice for the upcoming journey.
My first foray was from our AirBNB at the Reno Experience District to Virginia Lake. The snow-covered sidewalks made for slow going, along with my unfamiliarity with the neighborhood.
I’m looking forward to what lies ahead. I’m also excited to use my Strava app to find popular routes in Paris, Lyon and Geneva!
