Florence Airbnb review

March 18-28, 2023
We chose Guiseppe and Edi’s guest house based on the pictures of the garden, as I knew we’d be here as spring was springing and I wanted to have access to flowers and grass. We were not disappointed, as the yard is lovely and the weather allowed us to work outside and enjoy it.
The apartment was just as beautiful — it’s a basement guest house, with our hosts just above. While we knew they were accessible if we needed anything, they gave us our privacy. The home has been beautifully remodeled with lots of thoughtful touches, while keeping the character of what it was, with brick or rock walls in strategically decorative places. The appliances all seem new and the kitchen and bathroom were stocked with everything we could need.
They even brought us a welcome bottle of chianti,
which was very welcomed!
They gave us fresh rosemary and lemons from their garden, which made our home-cooked meals that much better. They were both incredibly responsive with any question we had. One time, while we were out, I messaged, questioning where we could buy coffee filters. By the time we got home, the filters were sitting on our window waiting for us.
The place is about 20 minutes from the city center on the tram or bus, which are located just a few blocks away. Having that distance was very nice, giving us some space (and quiet) from the throngs of tourists visiting beautiful Florence. We would absolutely recommend Edie and Guiseppe’s guest house.
